My starting this business came about with my own health journey, I struggled with my weight from about the age of 18, and finally took back control in 2008. You can read about my health journey here.
In my journey to find the health that I had when I was younger, I have learned many things about the food industry, how what we eat impacts not only our bodies and our health, but also our environment, the planet that we all have to reside on. There are other informing and entertaining things to find on the SWS website, such as the Skinny Blog, where I share my own tips, thoughts and notes on my personal progress. You will find both cooked vegan recipes as well as raw vegan here. Eventually there will be more raw than cooked as I am transitioning into the Raw high carb low fat way of eating, and I can tell you that it is totally Rawsome!
You will also find a lot of YouTube video shares on here, in the Vegucate section. As well as links to other informative as well as fun places in the Resources/Links section. Please note the Vegucate page is a little slow on the loading time. So be patient or open in a new window on your browser.
One other thing you will find on here is that we share our Kombucha SCOBY's so that others can make this amazing health drink at home too. This is not related to SWS other than that it's being shared via this site. It is a personal item and it's shared freely. You can find out more about that here.
There has been a change in the service aspect of SWS , the services that were offered from it's inception to April of 2013 have been discontinued for the time being, as I am focusing on the Vegan Soy/Wheat/Corn free cook book, that will have mostly raw recipes, but offer some cooked ones as well.
Also, as we are a family of artists, we will be offering in the not to distant future hand crafted one of a kind art pieces, gift wares, and more. Stay tuned for that!
