Day 39 - Apple Ginger Chutney & Besan Pudas!02/08/2012 Dinner needed to be a quick and easy dish today, fast, furious and filling! That's what Besan Puda's are, fast as well as easy to make. I do mine slightly differently than most of the videos I have seen on this easy Indian dish. So from start to finish, we have the Skinny Pictorial so to speak! Will the real ScoobiDoo stand up?! I didn't realize that they call this type of pasta shape is called that! I have no idea why though, so if anyone else has a clue, please let me know in the comment section below! Gut Busting Laughter Buddha Style! Laughter is really the best medicine, it is known to elevate your mood, even if you fake it, as well as reduce your blood pressure, lower anxiety, stress and a myriad of other things too. However, when you get hit with that fit of the giggles, or someone starts to laugh one of those all out red faced, tears streaming, contagious laughs, you can't help yourself but laugh along with them, although not always knowing WHY one is laughing, just that it feels good and it's almost impossible to stop. This happened to me today at the Rotary Club Choir practice, one of the members and I got a fit of the giggles while trying to learn a new song. Well it kind of ended that song's practice as we just couldn't stop. The choir director, bless her heart, was good about it. So we sang and worked on some other songs, and revisited the new one over an hour later. So what happened, my cohort in laughter crime got the giggles again. Here I am, TRYING to maintain my focus and composure, and here she is, doubled over, in hysterics, face as red as a fire truck as she was trying to wipe away the tears and regain herself. That was it, I just couldn't help myself, here it comes LMAO!!!! And so ended the song, for the second time, interrupted due to intense uncontrollable contagious laughter. Despite our disruption of the well instructed lesson for this new piece, and feeling a little unprofessional afterwards, it felt good to just let it go and laugh with my giggly friend. Have you ever faced a similar situation? I'd love to hear about it if you have! |
